Hexagon Group in the Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge 2022
We are excited to announce that we are participating in Enterprise Singapore's Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge (SOIC) for 2022. The Challenge was launched on October 25 by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and aims to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem that embraces sustainability and delivers impact. After the outstanding success in its four previous editions, a new challenge has been organized with the aim to encourage global innovation and entrepreneurship. We believe such initiatives are vital to raise awareness about environmental challenges we are facing on the one hand, and on the other hand to find solutions that enable us to build a more sustainable future.
Our partner in this project, Enterprise Singapore, is a government agency that promotes enterprise development in Singapore. The agency is working with committed companies to develop capabilities, innovate, and expand internationally. Additionally, it supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and start-ups. @EnterpriseSingapore is looking for global startups and SMEs with sustainable and innovative solutions to participate in SOIC 2022. The Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge 2022 is open for applications. Over S$2.8 million worth of support is available for its contestants.
"This is our first project under the Hexagon Green Fund and we are convinced that many more projects will follow. We are aware that we, as Hexagon, can’t rescue the world. However, what we can do as a company is support those who have ideas, skills, and the stamina to make the world a cleaner place", said Christian Wendel, Executive Chairman of Hexagon Group.
In the contest, Hexagon Group will participate as a Challenge Sponsor by awarding a cash prize to innovation and solutions that help sustain a greener planet. With this initiative, our objective is to help to make an impact by supporting a platform that will motivate entrepreneurs to opt for sustainable initiatives that will provide a better future for upcoming generations.
